We think it should be fun to go to a museum, really fun. Things should not just be looked at and read about – they should be experienced. Try dipping your finger in liquid metal, pick up an African giant snail, experience the scent of an angry skunk, challenge your fear of heights in Virtual Reality, play games with just your brain. We cater to people of all ages with an interest in the world. We are not like Stockholm’s other museums, we are an experience museum!
On the 26th of May we are open between 11.00 and 17.00.
Smell the worst scent of the animal kingdom. Shake the rattle on a rattlesnake. Stand on a real ostrich egg.
Challenge your fear of heights in Virtual Reality.
See the elongated skulls from the paracas culture or touch a shrunken head from the head-hunting jívaro tribes.
Stand on an Indian foot mat and see if you are as durable as a Hindu ascetic.
Pick up the lightest material in the world or dip your finger in liquid metal. Play games through brain waves.
Hold a dental fossil from Megalodon and T-Rex or feel the sharp clone from a Velociraptor.
Taste our exciting collection of sweets and snacks from around the world.
Taste food from other cultures, such as mealworms or fried grasshoppers from Mexico.
Our giant African snails are curious about themselves. Do you dare to hold on to one?
How much is it? Can I just come by?
The price is 195 kr for all visitors. Little children who stay in strollers the whole visit do not need a ticket however. You can purchase tickets at the museum, but it is recommended to do it beforehand as we are sometimes sold out. We only accept card payments.
Is the museum only for kids?
Absolutely not. Children certainly enjoy the museum, but so do adults.
Do you have an age limit?
We have no age limit, but children under the age of 6 often find it difficult to appreciate the museum. We expect parents to keep children under supervision. There are things in the exhibition that are fragile.
We are open 16.00 – 19.00 on weekdays, 10.00 – 17.00 on Saturdays and 11.00 – 17.00 on Sundays. Last bookable time slot is one hour before closing.
Where are you located?
The museum is located close to Avicii Arena and Tele2 Arena in southern Stockholm. Our address is Arenaslingan 3. Closest subway stations are Globen and Gullmarsplan. If you come by car, the shopping center that we are located at offers two hours of free parking.
